Description
We often camp at state parks. We do so because the trails are abundant and easy to access from the campground. On this day we headed out to the pond trail. Half way through our loop hike we faced an obstacle, a downed tree with many branches, too high to overcome literally. We had to turn around and retrace our steps. Elk Neck State Park, not far from the Delaware border, is a state park campground we love to visit. Every season gives my many photo ops and the trails are not heavily traveled during the week day. Elk Neck is located in the town of Northeast, Maryland, USA. We are thankful Maryland has such open spaces.
