Artist's Description
A day trip in early Autumn to Antietam Battlefield, gave me this scene. Antietam Battle fought during the Civil War saw the bloodiest day, September 17, 1862, in American history, killing over 22,000. Also known as the Battle of Sharpsburg. Sharpsburg is the town and Antietam is the creek that resides there. I added a painterly effect. This road stop is near Burnside’s Bridge.

My focus has always been on the natural world and its beauty whether it be a dragonfly, flower, frog, or tree bark. When viewing our world, I look at how people and architectural structures fit into it now and in the past. Do they coexist with their natural surroundings or look out of place?
