These are one of my favorite flowers. These Lotus Blooms only three weeks every year in July at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens in Washington DC. I can see them at other gardens in the area, but at kenilworth there are rows and rows of these water based flowers.. With most Lotus and Lilies you can see a planter in the garden. With this garden, no planter is seen.

My focus has always been on the natural world and its beauty whether it be a dragonfly, flower, frog, or tree bark. When viewing our world, I look at how people and architectural structures fit into it now and in the past. Do they coexist with their natural surroundings or look out of place?
