Update 2022: Mally is now over 20. In the past year he lost his sight, but maps his destination well. His age-related issues have only slowed him, but he still enjoys a quality of life with two doting parents.
Update 2021: Our boy is going strong at 19 and a half. 19 years ago a colleague of mine found this stray and could not keep him and his Tabby Mom. I took them in. This boy has outlived his Mama and still going strong! We are so fortunate!
In 2012 I took this photo, Malach, or Mally as we lovingly call him, was 10 years old. Today in 2020 he is over 18 years old. During the pandemic of 2020, he has been our saving grace. He travels with us in our RV and finished his second road trip to Florida earlier this year. We are thankful for his companionship and love. Malach is Hebrew for Angel. He was named after a cat we had that passed away a few months before this stray came into our lives over 18 years ago.
While he was born in Minnesota, he is a Maryland boy now!

20 years old? My grandson once had a perfect black cat like this. It was my favorite of all the cats our family ever had. Nice photo.
