Description
This Green Heron was spotted at Flamingo Gardens in Davie Florida. Flamingo Gardens is a wildlife sanctuary. This bird is wild, but hangs around the pond for food! Green Herons are abundant where I live in Maryland. They are much bigger than the ones in Florida. A National Park Ranger once told me that Florida birds tend to be smaller because of the competition for food.
